Carl Szafranski is completely dedicated to creating beautiful environments for his clients. His ability to listen, understand and produce what his clients are describing is unsurpassed and his emotional and spiritual connection to each project and client is compelling.
The main focus areas during the design process are sustainability, maintenance cost, project timeframe, construction budget, form, and function. By successfully balancing these critical requirements, Carl creates outdoor spaces that reflect his love of the natural environment while meeting his clients' needs.
Carl is an Oklahoma State University graduate and has been practicing Landscape Architecture in a multitude of roles with different companies small to huge. He started his career with one of the largest design/build firms in the country where he learned client interaction and management and gained valuable experience in design, construction observation, and budgeting. He managed and designed several million dollars worth of work and increased his department's work load substantially.
Upon leaving what was an amazing first experience, Carl began working for a very small three person firm that specialized in residential landscape architecture. There, he fine tuned his skills for client interaction, the design process and construction management techniques.
Carl then began his own company journey by launching a design firm with another landscape architect who soon became his business partner. During those amazing 13 years of co-ownership, Carl learned what it took to manage, own, design and create a business and clientele.
Carl is now writing what he thinks will be the best chapter so far in his career by starting his own landscape architecture firm, Szafranski Landscape Architecture.
